The design of the R12 recreational catamaran was commissioned by the Sudomech Supply, Ltd. company from the Albatross Marine Design bureau of Thailand and, according to the requirement specifications, the vessel is intended for use in the inclement conditions of the extreme north and Northwest of Russia or of Northern Europe.
The R12 catamaran is designed and certified as a recreational vessel for use by commercial and corporate tourist centers providing comfortable water tourism and recreational fishing services to their VIP guests.
R12 was designed as a recreational highly navigable catamaran capable of prolonged autonomous sailing, allowing its passengers to enjoy the beauty of the northern wilderness combined with comfortable on-board conditions or enjoyable moorings.

×Vessels designed and built in conformance with EC 94/25 Directive, not exceeding 20 meters in length and carrying no more than 12 persons are classified according to the classification of recreation vessels, 2012.
For vessels indicated in this paragraph, PC class is assigned or prolonged for various lengths of time in accordance with Chapter 2, Part 1 of the said rules, depending on their design categories (A, B, C and D) describing their wind strengths and wave height limitations for sailing under conditions indicated in their classification certificates.
